Beancount is an doube-entry account system using plain text files. Similar to Ledger CLI.

How to start

Separate your accounts into general categories:

• Assets
• Liabilities
• Expenses
• Income
• Equity (use to generate the first transactions)

Naming

One convention is to use:

<type> : <country> : <institution> : <account>
